  • That girl, people look at her and what do they see? She walks with confidence; her head held high. She typically walks ahead of the crowd. She flashes a smile at the stranger that walks by, happening to intercept her line of vision. She sits on the bus with her headphones in with a peaceful look on her face as she stares out the window. She laughs among her friends, she cares, she loves.

Love, the very thing she strives to give is the very thing that fought back and wrecked a part of her.

That girl, I look at her and what do I see? She limps with insecurities; She lags behind the crowd who seems to have already been too far ahead for her to catch up. The stranger that walks by looks at her with pity. She sits on the bus with her headphones in because she doesn't want to interact with reality. As she stares out the window her mind is filled with chaos. All the ifs, buts, and whys seem to float endlessly around her. But...she remains to laugh among her friends; one thing will never change she still cares and still dares to love.

You merge the two perspectives and you don't just see that girl. You see that human being, and that is truly something everyone should be.
