  • You can ride a zillion roller coasters. You can wait in line for 50 minutes for the thrill of a 50 second tour de adrenaline. But where you're going to end up, every time, is the carousel. Whether you're 6 or 16 or 46 or 60, you'll delight in the decorated horse race. You'll squint under the lights. You'll wear the safety belt, just because it's there. You'll stay away from the one red bench, there for great-grandma to be able to ride next to her great-grandchildren without having to ascend the weathered paint of the up and down animals. You'll glimpse a 2 year old, mounted on a zebra for his first time, exclaiming in such a profoundly obvious depiction of glee "weeeeeeee ....". You didn't even know anyone really said that. But they do. It's a real thing. "Weeeeee" means simply "This makes my tummy feel awesome."

And the tiger will chase the horse, with or without a rider on his back. And the horses in front have long forgotten him. But the riders on their backs will delight in the slow, but melodic, escape.
