  • I met up with my old teacher the other day,

    He's persistent
    with his lessons
    No hiding
    Face him
    and deal with it
    or you will suffer...
    That's his message
    He keeps it so simple
    Yet when you see him
    part of you only wants
    to hide from the world

    I sit with him
    for every moment I'm awake
    over and over
he says to let my pain out
    to let my story go
if not I'll carry it around
like a burden on my back
Never to get rid of it
only to come back to him
    for a lifetime or more
    if you believe in that

    I realize it's easier to
    hold onto pain,
    like swimming down stream
    rather than facing
    my perception of reality
    my attachment,
    She is gone.
    I am here.
    The sun rises
    I feel light
    My Teacher...
    Is gone
