  • I spent yesterday afternoon picking the ripe blackcurrants with my grandson.

    It was so wonderful seeing the garden through his eyes.

    We shared the excitement of finding hidden strawberries, and wondered when the apples would be ready. For me, life is enhanced when I am with children.

    I added the blackcurrants to rice and rocket leaves to accompany Portabello mushrooms, stuffed with Tempeh; whilst Rowan scooped seeds out of a Butternut squash.
