  • Poem:

    As rain in the beginning
    Had made the sand wet
    My mouth had been parched
    From the dry sand
    And over the years,
    My heart had been through
    Rain, over flooding
And drought, not knowing what to say
I feel the rain, in the beginning
    Had been a relief
And now I have to say this-
    Let the rain flow
    To over flood my heart
And to let it cry until
    The moisture is all gone
    Until I say it,
Until my heart is in my throat
    Stuck with tears
And until my mouth is parched
    To say
    Please relieve me once again
