  • This is my daughter Emily. Next to her is her mother Tracy.

You are looking at what most weekends have looked like since she was born three years ago. Very early morning, one of us sleeping, or dozing, or just plain not able to stay focussed.
Emily is eating a sandwhich, with chocolate paste, her favourite.

It is amazing what the iPad has become to us. It keeps Emily entertained when we need her to, and she has found her way on it. Cartoons on YouTube, games in the Emily's Loot folder and Facebook for Tracy.

I have my own iPad, thanks to a generous boss. Luxury, I know.
On mine I have iUniversity, TED, iBooks and other sorts of things that makes it worth having one.

Emily has gone through all sorts of fases with her cartoon intake. She would make any North Korean censor proud, because she keeps watching her favourite of the day for hours on end if we don't call an end to it.
At the moment, she likes Donald Duck (I always select the old ones, from WW2), but she adores Chip N Dale.
