  • For the past two weeks I've been working at a school next to a rubbish dump. We've visited the community who live and work on the dump many times, I've known some of them for years. However this year I spotted a lady who stood out straight away.

She was so elegant. Dresses in an Admiral style jacket the first time I saw her, she looked at peace with the world and where she was, yet I couldn't help question why she was there, did she have any family? How long has she been there for? Who takes care of her?

The next day I returned to the dump and I asked if I could capture her beautiful smile on camera, she said yes. Her smile will forever make me realise how lucky we are in life to have freedom in our country. Whereas she is one of the unlucky ones who has been forced from her country to live a life on the dump. Her smile made me think she has accepted where she is and why she's there, yet I really would love to know, what is her story?
