  • Oh, little kitty
I shall wait for you forever,
    but it is your crime.
    You owned this enclosed world
    of bugs and furniture
Safe, full, warm and in charge in here,
you though you were as powerful as a Tiger.
    So, why wouldn't you think
that you could own the outside world, too?

    Oh, little kitty,
    Now you know
that there are much stronger forces
    out there
    Humans that don't love
    Cats that don't share
    Cars that kill.
    Out there,
you'll be reduced to a mere little kitten
    confidence ripped away.
    The tiger in you
might now be turnned into a beggar.

    Oh, little kitty,
    I'll wait for you
    by this window
    when you might be
    waiting for me.
    You might be waiting
    for the day
when I appear through the fog
    Hold you in arms
    and take you home.
    But I can't be there
    when you need me most;
    because one little cat
    alone in the world,
    is beyond my mortal powers
    to retrieve and achieve.

    You see, little kitty,
    All I can do
    is post signs
    to anounce your disappearance.
    But you cannot read,
you cannot see that I'm searching,
    and miss you
    and still love you.
    All you can do
    is survive
    avoid people
    and, as well,
    search for home.

    You've always given the air
    of a survivor at home.
    And now's the time,
    little kitty,
    to really be
    the Tiger in you.
