  • Gaze at it. Feel its warmth.

    Blue flame, readily available.

Convenient. It is summoned with a flip of a switch or the turn of a dial.

It heats your homes, cooks your foods. It makes life comfortable.

    It is natural. Natural Gas.

The blue genie travels through miles of pipelines from underground reservoirs to serve you.

Your insatiable needs for energy demands more of it. But it is a limited resource.

Eventually, you will deplete the reservoirs. The blue flame will die.

Conventional acquisition is not enough. You must find unconventional ways to summon the blue genie.

Hydrofracking will save you. Don’t listen to the tree huggers.

Don’t believe the stories of contaminated aquifers and water wells. Pay no attention to the tales of sickness, dead livestock and lost property values. Dismiss the history of the raping of the land by the fossil fuel industry. Ignore the increased earthquakes caused by pumping waste water deep underground. Turn a blind eye to the diminishing air quality. Disregard the Oil and Gas industry’s efforts to eliminate personal property rights, municipal governance and federal regulations. Turn a deaf ear to doctors who are required by statute to NOT disclose the ingredients in the fracking fluid chemicals that are making their patients sick. Take no heed to huge sums of campaign funds that the Oil and Gas have paid to your elected officials.

Brush aside any warnings. Overlook environmental degradation.

Just sit back and gaze at the beautiful blue flame. Feel its warmth.

*On the count of three, you will wake up now and you will not remember that we had this conversation. But you will LOVE unconventional Natural Gas drilling.*
