  • I found myself staring at this humungoid hole in the ground, proudly proclaimed as one of the Great Wonders of the World. I fixed my gaze on what looks like a giant redrock shelf that looks like a surrealistic helipad and turned to my niece. “You know what my dream would be,” I told her. “That would be to be dropped in by chopper and get to spend the day relaxing on a chaise lounge on that rock.”
    What would I have with me? A radio with access to any live baseball game, a lobster roll for lunch and a cold mug of cider from Leprechan based in Houston. End of story.
