  • One of my favorite things to do is take pictures of nature. I love catching close up photos of flowers in all their glory. Often it will take me 20 or more shots before I'm happy enough to move on to the next flower, other times it may only take one or two.

In this case, my boyfriend had an orchid delivered to me at work the other day, for no particular reason other than that he loves me.

The colors of the plant, all seven blooms of it, are incredible - yellow, pink, purple, white, magenta. I've never seen such a stunning flower with such delicate curves and soft velvet petals.

I believe I took over 30 photos and not once was I able to get one that was clear and sharp the way I always think I should get them.

But I decided that was okay, because when I saw this photo while reviewing them, I felt it reflected the orchid in just the way it needed to.

    Soft, delicate, velvety, sensuous.

One hardly needs a clear photo to feel that.
