  • We have left Pamplona for Barcelona. Fiesta de San Fermin and Running of the Bulls is over.

This year we stayed from the beginning to the end of fiesta. From 6th of July to the 14th of July. Quite hard core experience. During these days there were one and half million fiesta goers with us in the small old center of Pamplona. Usual length of visit is two days. After two days you are too tired to continue.

After continuous racket and dense crowd of Pamplona the center of Barcelona feels like Laponian tundra in February. Just space, just silence. Noise of million cars around means nothing.

Over million kilos of garbage was thrown on streets of Pamplona. Most of it was glass shards and torn plastic from beer and kalimotxo copas. The favourite drink of fiesta for young people is kalimotxo, half litre of coke and half litre of red wine mixed together.

First deep sleep in ten nights feels strange. It feels good.

But bulls. We miss the bulls. We are getting withdrawal symptoms when we are not seeing bulls every day. We are starting to look like bulls.

I understand now how Minotauruses, bullmen, are born. They are born in Pamplona.
