  • Ever since I can remember, i've always been a huge fan of stories. In any way they come. In almost any style.
My love for good movies, for good books, for good conversations, can all be traced back to my love for stories.

Haven't you? That's is actually what I am assuming. Probably that is why you are here as well. Trying to find that little paragraph, that little feeling you experience when you read something written by a total stranger that makes you feel like you are not alone in this world. That you are part of something bigger, that you can relax, your life is not being wasted.

Because in a story, there is always room for the soul and for the mind. And more importantly, there is always room for the spirit.
And that is the reason why I am sitting in front of the computer on Christmas in my parents house, a house always full of people and noise and relatives -a bad environment to write, or maybe the best- writing about my personal love for stories, hoping that it is actually not personal at all, that it's just universal, that everybody craves for a fairy tale, or an action movie, or a classic piece of literature -a story.

It does not come as a surprise this feeling towards stories. Who doesn't want an epic adventure to live? Who doesn't like to think, when they lie in their beds at the end of an unjust day, that the good guys are going to win at the end? That the nice guy will get the girl over the better looking moron? That the dictators will be toppled and the wealth will be distributed more justly?

But it is because we ARE a part of a bigger story. All of us. Interconnected. Some of it has already been told, but most of it still lies ahead. Waiting for the development of its characters -us. And yes, sometimes it feels like we got into the movie theater when the movie has already started: the plot around us doesn't make sense. But i choose to think it eventually will.

Why? Well... Because, my dearest reader, because it's true.
