  • You may have already seen this out there on the web or on Facebook. Yes, it started as a joke, but Greg and I are seriously thinking of making a stab at it, depending on the response we get. After all, we could hardly do worse than the last four or five Presidents.

I see a lot of people posting anti-Republican and anti-Democrat propaganda on social media and even here on Cowbird, and not so many with a positive twist. Which tells me that most people are voting against something, not for it. And that is a very serious problem, indeed.

Rather than go into a deep, involved diatribe on flat taxes, healthcare, term limits, foreign aid, foreign policy, etc. ad nausea, I want to make a simple statement for your consideration.

Our founding fathers considered government service, in any capacity, as a duty, a responsibility tied to the rights we enjoy in this nation. They realized that no decent man would ever want to be known as a politician, since the only contribution a politician makes to a free society is to administrate and preserve the welfare of the state. They envisioned a CITIZEN GOVERNMENT, a state where men of honesty and integrity would volunteer to lead, then pass the mantel of leadership on to the next generation. They also understood the dangers and corruption that results when an elite class decides they are better able to lead.

Both the Democratic and Republican parties are corrupt beyond redemption. The evidence is staring you in the face. How much money is required to elect a President, a Senator, a Congressman? Do you honestly believe the meager contributions of a few dollars here and a few dollars there are able to make a dent in a campaign budget? Red, Blue, Conservative, Liberal, black, white, brown, Christian, Muslim, straight, gay, this is all a smokescreen created to keep you from seeing the truth: In politics, in Washington D.C., the only color that counts is Green!

Obama is owned. Romney is owned. Pelosi is owned. Any incumbent in office right now is owned. They are all CAREER POLITICIANS. They do not act in the best interest of the people. They act for two reasons: 1) to serve their owners, and 2) to retain their office.

I am an American, a Vietnam Veteran, a poet, and a citizen. My personal agenda is simple. I love this country, and I want to see it returned to the people, all the people. I am not wealthy, have no desire to be wealthy, and would rather write than anything else. As a citizen, I realize I have a duty to uphold the promises made in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. In doing so, I realize my obligation is to serve the people, not myself.

    Vote for me.
