  • The internet connection for my laptop is via a Vodafone dongle. This morning, my dongle expired so I had to venture out and purchase a top up voucher from a local magazine shop.

On my return home I logged on and entered the voucher code. To my dismay I was informed the code was invalid. After several tries I returned to the shop and pointed out that I was not able to use the voucher. The shop assistant was very unhelpful. Just didn’t want to know.

Fuming I returned home and gave it another try but no go. Exasperated I managed to find a call up link to Vodafone and to my amazement before I even had time to enter all particulars a chat box popped up with a human at the other end. A lovely lady who asked for my phone number, rang immediately and then put me through to someone who could help with the problem.

Usually these days when contacting a big company you have to press a number of buttons, then sit on hold for what seem like hours, listening to some boring repetitive music. As if this isn’t enough, you have to pay for the privilege.

In this instance I did not even have to wait a minute. The man who came on the line to help me was very courteous and helpful. He quickly sorted the problem.

This was the best service I have ever had. As an extensive traveler and having lived in several countries I have come across many problems over the years. Some have eventually been sorted satisfactorily but nearly all have involved a lengthy process.

So, I just wanted to share my experience of excellent service in the hope that it snowballs. What a huge difference it makes. Thank you VODAFONE.
