  • A few weeks ago, I put a piece on the Iceberg. I still very much subscribe to the views I emitted therein: Ninety percent of the buzz I get is from the writing itself, the process which is invisible, but the visible 10% has its use, and I, for one, like the idea that when my story appears on Cowbird, people whose opinion I value will have read and "loved" it. Quite rightly one should not try to compete for the largest number of "loves". I personally do not use Facebook, except to respond to those who do; on the whole I quite like the idea that around 20 people would have read/loved any piece I publish here.

It is therefore not irrelevant to mention that after attending a course in e-pubishing, I decided that I am going to e-publish some of my work. To this effect, I have experimentally put in a very short piece (13 page long) called The Ticking Clock on Amazon; it is a story set on the Chitrarekha, a cruise ship on the Sunderbans, as seen in the pic. I am not asking my fellow Cowbirds to buy it, but if anybody would like to read it, I can send you a pdf version by e-mail (free of course). Just indicate that you are interested to
