  • Had a driving lessonon Monday, I was very nervous beforehand, but I took a herbal calm tablet and felt better, luckily the roads of Devon are much less manic than those described in Benjamin's story. The guy I had booked to teach me is someone I know quite well as he works part time at the library with me. He took me to a little housing estate in the next town as where I live " there's nowhere flat" Ilfracombe is all hills, well a combe is a valley so what do you expect! I was really happy with how it went I even turned the car round in the road and changed gear once. Lots of mistakes but many fewer than I thought. Suddenly a future not tyranised by public transport is a real possibility. Starting to feel that my future is almost under my control.
