Dandelions are my favorite wildflowers for just this reason.

I wrote a country song, I called it "Dandelion Promises". I only performed it once.

I called my ex-wife (divorce was her idea) on a valentines day, played it on my guitar, and sang the song myself.

My singing voice is scary, to say the least, but I did OK.

She asked, "who was that?" I said, "Me." She responded, "Ohhhh..." (long pause) "Allright then,... where did you learn that song?" I told her, "I wrote it." Again, (long pause) "Ohhhhh..."

I have never played, recorded, or shared the song since. She passed away to cancer three years ago this month.

The song was about the wishes we make blowing dandelion seeds, and the dandelion's promise to always return, to remind of our wish.
