  • I had put her on an ugly wall, but I was not happy about it. A few days ago, I put her in the garden next to a rose bush.

I am new to Colorado, and my neighbor told me roses bloom in the Spring and Fall here.

In my garden, it is otherwise.

The legend speaks of the Virgin asking Juan Diego to gather flowers in Tepeyac Hill in the month of December, where nothing ever blooms. Climbing up, Juan Diego found red roses not native to Mexico. When he came back with "proof" of the Virgin's apparition, the roses fell to the floor, leaving in their place the image of the Virgin imprinted in the very cloak where the roses had been wrapped.

Y no me gustaba.
