  • On this Solstice beginning of 2012 ,I choose to surrender an ego that limits my potential, that undermines my health and well-being, that would judge harshly self and others, that would limit self to control drama’s and manipulation or stealing of energy.

Instead this new day, I choose my evolving self, to breathe in and out each moment fully aware of its potential and messages and beauty. I choose to still my mind and listen with my heart and to share my creative energy of love in order that the whole is nourished-the give-away.

To see beyond my selfishness into a place of selflessness, to listen to the voice within that guides me home to my innocence, to remember and embrace all my colors. And through this creative process of forgiveness I rebuild my true foundation…the childlike wonder of life’s beauty and abundance and that all I need is provided.

All such esoteric and high minded aims…yet the day to day, the living mindfully, wholly in each moment isn’t quite as smooth a ride. I continue to compare it to the movement of a river (i.e. the CO or Grand River-Big Red River). Sometimes a free flowing movement while other times stuck behind a log jam or eddie’d in a stagnate pool.

As in the tao, I am learning how to yield, build up reserve in order to free flow over the obstacles or out of the stagnation. Each time I am reminded of how easily my little “poor me” ego wants to block my way or yell out its voice to “listen to me;” is the moment I MUST remember to breathe IN OUT. Remembering who I truly am and once again choose which voice to listen to: The harsh judge or scared rabbit type voices OR the ones who say “Breathe,” still my chatter and listen to the quiet still voice deep within who always offers nourishment, protection, guidance, and new direction.

I am grateful for the struggles as well as the moments of revelation and movement forward. I am blessed with many allies, guides, ancestors who persistently surround me with their love and light. I have been given many storms in life that have aided my growth into my truth and I am so very grateful for that which lives within me who calls out unceasingly to be all that I am created to be. Aho!
