  • In a plaza in Madrid on a pleasant June evening I came across the newspaper man. Reflecting on the statement he was trying to express one may wonder many things. Such as how are we as individuals and as cultures shaped by the news we are bombarded with in our information laden lives? How much does this shape our personalities, our judgements, our reactions, our stress levels? How much do we reflect on our inner worlds as opposed to the outer world and how is the quality and amount of this reflection shaped by what we are told through media sources? Or is this newspaper outfit armor to prevent the outside world from seeing this man's inner world?
