  • When I first joined I was fearful, guarded and dishonest with myself and others. As a result I had very low self esteem since I thought that I should fit into a box that others had defined for me. A box defined from a place of love.

During last year's regional retreat I finally confessed to myself that the reason I felt lost and alone was because I wasn't pursuing my passions. EWBers inspired me to break the cycle I was living in, that I felt bound to repeat. This organization empowered me to take a risk, to move beyond what I knew so that I could transform myself into someone who could follow their passions courageously and try to change the world.

I spoke to Carly, someone who was there with me at the last summer retreat when I admitted to myself and others that I was not an honest person and she said that she barely recognized me and that she saw that I had stayed true to my affirmation statement and goals.

This internal change is because of you all and this organization. You could say that EWB incubated this personal transformation. Thank you for helping me find myself and to love myself again.
