  • The tiny world beyond the glass...oh, the things I could play with and eat in there. Those wonderfully realistic toys that twitch and scamper around all day long...they should be mine! If the humans won't let me even touch them, why should they be so cruel to give me the the ability to look in and see such temptation-furry, juicy, twitching temptation? I'd rather not see them at all. All I can do is stare from the highest point I can find and feel like I own them.

    Cruel Glass.

I feel so stupid when sudden instinct overcomes me and I bat at the glass, the tail flicking just under my nose. The humans won't even let my stand on the cage for a decent look down, where I can stick my nose against the bars and breath in the delicious musty fact, they've booby trapped it. A whole bunch of unclimbable objects on top of that opening into the world of temptation.
I wrecked the thing once. That showed them.

I've learned to stop stalking the cage. That world is too protected...too strong for even two cats, one witty and one heavy (I'm the witty). For now, we shall stare at our entertainment, watch their fascinating, tempting scampering as they go about their day, unaware of fearsome predators eying them through the glass.

For now we watch. One day we'll act.
