  • I finally had what amounts to a summer day. There were few clouds in the sky, I had to shed my black hoodie, and I finally went on a bicycle photo shoot to take pictures of nature.

    Whenever I’m on a photo outing, I try to pay some attention to God’s bothersome beauties; the weeds and wildflowers.

    Sometimes they rival our best efforts at cross-pollination, hybridization, and cultivation in our gardens. I think God gave them the wonderful couture to keep us from successfully eradicating them.

    It would be like heinously wiping out fluffy kittens. UNACCEPTABLE!

    (this is one of the only times anyone will ever hear me using that terminology. In most applications, I find it offensive…unacceptable=Yuck! Do you think you’re better than me? Pfft!)

    Maybe I feel this way, because I see my self as one of the weeds,... and I really don't like that flowers attitude of superiority.
