    Here is the first photo I've used that was taken at a low ISO setting (80,when I usually go with 1000 or higher, for the noise). From a vacation picture taken in 2005 at Silver Lake in Spokane County, Washington, it was grossly overexposed, and seems to have given the effect I look for with high ISO settings.

    Shortly after this picture was taken, the canoe was flipped over, and after the kids abandoned it to swim to the safety of shore, I had to swim out and retrieve it and the oars.

    I distinctly remember warning them about standing in a canoe.

    I guess there's truth in the old adage; You live, you learn.

    They certainly did, and with the experience this photo provided, so have I.
