  • It was definitely a case of love at first sight.
Markings of a husky, gold eyes.
A tiny voice, like a whisper of a baby bird.
I wanted him home with me.

After looking at all the cats on show, waiting for homes,
    we re-grouped to compare notes.

    "I want Teddy" I stated.
The Mother and Stepdad looked puzzled.
    "Which one was Teddy?"

    How did they miss him?
    We took three home.
    But I chose Teddy.
And I always remind everyone of this.

    Sun on my neck,
    dirt on my shorts,
    I sat with Teddy,
    tickling his ears,
    taking his photo.
