  • A time for everything and everything in its own time.

    A time to marry
    a time to divorce

    A time to cry
a time to laugh until you cry

    A time to dance
a time to watch the dancing
from a table in the corner

A time to live like its your last day
    on Earth
a time to write your memoirs
    using a pseudonym

A time to teach your children
a time to let your children teach you

A time to plant a seed
a time to reap what you have sown

A time to work late hours
a time to lay on a chaise lounge
and order drinks from the cabana boys

Let it be. No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should be whether or not we can see it. If you have to force anything, then you are out of sync with the Universe. You can't force the heart. You can't change the world through force.

When I began to study karate what I found so perfect about it was the ability to use another's aggression against them. If someone is pulling you, step forward instead of pulling away. Change the balance. If you resist, you will be hurt. When someone runs at you, step to the side, instead of bracing yourself for impact or turning your back to them. Simple in theory but hard to put in practice.

Be like water. Think like water. Let time and events wash over you, rounding and smoothing your rough edges. I have been thinking about the Irresistible Paradox - the paradox occurs when an irresistible force meets an immovable object. Be irresistible because you are. There is no such thing as an immovable object. Adopt this mindset and watch your life begin to change.
