  • Most Sunday mornings ,on the way to work, I listen to Christian Worship music on radio station 94.9, KLTY in Dallas. I love singing the songs that I know and love to Jesus. This morning, my radio station was set on 92.1, The Possum out of Farmersville, Tx. They were running a weekly country Gospel hour that I never knew they had! I was singing along to some of the old time Gospel I knew and when I didn't know the next one I switched back to KLTY. I began listening to a favorite (God is Holy). The next song was not a favorite and once again I switched the channel back to the old time Gospel. Following the bit of dead air that frequents the station often, came a song my daddy had loved all his life- "Life's Railway to Heaven." I felt a tear fill my eye as I dialed my sister as quickly as I could. When she answered, I said, "Martha, see if you recognize this song."

She listened for a minute and said,"Yes! That was Paul's favorite !" (My other two sisters called my daddy Paul because that is what they heard my mom call him.) I put her on speaker phone and there the two remaining sisters sang their daddy's favorite Gospel song together.

Soon she hung up, but that was the nearest to perfect time with my sister, my daddy and my God in a few short minutes. Amazing how that happens.
