  • When we feel we are slipping, what do we do,instinctively...we grab at something, anything or anyone.
But,if we feel life is slipping away, what can we grab....life,we can grab at life.Stand back ,don't look in a mirror, but look inwards, you are still there.
I look back at the number of times I have wanted to slip, then something happens,I read "Rain" and I thank God I have not gone through what he has done, and yet I think he is a contented person(he has lived his way),I don't know. Then I look at the art of Kiki and I feel alive as the colours bring life to a story. So much enjoyment.
That to me is Cowbird, sharing each person's sorrow, happiness and sometimes their compelling reason to cling on and not slip. The fingernails get worn clinging to the ledges but reading so much, the plight of nations such as the Indian nations, hearing about how wars have ravaged ,and still are, countries.
All this is in Cowbird and I cannot slip whilst it is happening all around me.Write on.
Remember as was told to me when I first wrote a real load of crap( still managing to do it),one man's rubbish story will please somebody else.I enjoy every story I read but love the ones that in some way bring me to life, tears of joy or of sorrow or a quickening of the,a gasp for breath each one does something to keep me from slipping
