  • I live at the end of a figure 8 and I enjoy the walk about the neighborhood to see what's new. This morning, as I made my way around the infinity path, it was already getting hot. I decided to get out of the sun and walk through the woods bordering the lake and it was so cool and refreshing.

Trees have beautiful healing energy. They are the lungs of Mother Earth, they give us oxygen and they keep their forest spaces cool from their sheltering branches and leaves. And they gift us with homes, furniture and toilet paper.

We cut them down, they are in the way, and we don't appreciate or respect or love them. We even flush them down the toilet (what about using hemp or recycled paper instead?). We want their palm oil, we want the land to raise more cows or grow GMO corn or soy. We want. We want.

They drop their leaves and make a mess in our yards, they might fall over in storms. They might. They might.

    Trees are cool.
Hug a tree, or even better hug lots of them.
Trees are our friends and companions.
They are to be loved, respected and appreciated.
Great Spirit creates trees for a purpose.
    Plant more trees, please.
