  • I lie in bed watching an hour-long video and think: When will this finish? Will I have enough time for breakfast before I go to the market?

    Tired, frazzled woman. Stylish in a thoughtless kind of way, but with a tightness creeping into the corners of her mouth.

    I take off the coat. Take off the scarf. Put my wallet away. Having pulled shopping out of my day, I'm left with a handful of activity cards to reshuffle. What now?

    I sit down and write this on my iPhone, while a cat purrs on my lap. It snowed last night...
