  • Our lovely hosts in Reykjavik Katla and Raggy, decided to help us yet again, by snapping up a Snail Camper and carting us across the country to our starting point in Höfn. Along the way they shared little known (to us at least) facts about the country side and the history of Iceland. We stopped in Selfoss so Raggy could teach our driver how to drive the stick-shift Kúkú Camper and of course to share the Icelandic "delicacy" of pylsa (i.e. hot dogs) from the petrol station. Somewhere along the 9 hour trek (that should have been closer to 4) we stumbled on this great (read: only) radio station and song. Paired with the surreal landscape, the odd camper and the fun tunes, it was the setting of some obscure Icelandic art film. Can't wait for more of this.
