  • This image captures me reflecting in the moment, being in my own apartment, hosting my own birthday party and for the first time in many years feeling the sense home that can only come from carving out your space in the world. Up until this date, I'd be working around the clock clean, rebuild and make mine this little spot in South Williamsburg - this was the night I got to share it with all my friends.

    My girlfriend is behind the camera observing the end of the evening. She is responsible for the balloons and streamers you see in the picture. They were so beautiful that it would be many weeks before I reluctantly took them down, but that was my call. For the first time, it was my home.
