  • The question is: Can you out logic the heart?

It comes down to the age old "head vs heart." But hear me out for a minute. If your heart is anything like mine, when it gets set on something, it intensifies and a swelling occurs and I feel as though the cup runneth over. I'm a channeler of love. It's as if it originates in a hot spring in the anatomical region of the heart and just flows right out of my mouth and body in the form of words or love letters or loving gazes towards damn near everyone I love in life. And honestly, I love a lot of people. And why not? Love is infinite, and the pool will never run out - so there is no need to be stingy! Normally, I give with no expectation of a volley back. But inevitably in life, there will always be someone from which you crave reciprocity. Here's where this free flow of love gets slightly complicated! LOVING THE EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE. Sending love to these people is the most unfulfilling endeavor because they are neither good at receiving it nor is there even an inch of possibility that it'll be returned. It's like trying to make a rock bleed. But try and turn a heart off, go ahead. I dare you. Tell it not to love someone, even if it is like trying to float a balloon tied to a brick. So the question is - can you out logic the heart?

We always talk about the power of the mind and the power of positive thinking. Even more so, beyond that - pathological liars truly believe the stories they create. So what if it's not a matter of head vs. heart? What if you've decided which one wins? So what if you could tell yourself enough "stop trying to love the emotionally unavailable" ...or at least stop expecting love in return? To face it - "Ain't gonna happen honey!"? The mind has helped humans explore the ends of our universe and to overcome any obstacle and even move mountains of sorts. But can you out logic the heart? The evidence makes it look like it most certainly should be possible... the heart begs to differ...
