  • I just went outside to clear my head.
The sun is shining, the water is nearby. What other excuse do I need for a walk?!
In these conditions you'd expect cheerfull, fun, happy people.
I could've used some of those!
But the people I saw were couples fighting, discussing things.
    Or not talking at all...
    Cranky kids.
    Sad old people.
    Mean dogs!

But then there is that little girl who doesn't seem to notice all of that.
Who couldn't care less, as long as you're there.
Who is happy as long as you pick up her toys.
Who screams just to hear the sound of her own voice.

    Head cleared.
    Twirling stomach silenced.
    Smile.

    Of juist zwijgend...
    Chagerijnige kinderen.
    Verdrietige oude mensen.
    Gemene honden!

    Hoofd leeg.
    Rommelende buik gekalmeerd.
    Glimlach.
