  • Maybe I was distracted by a dream
Or blinded by a foolish hope
Or perhaps the maps are old and tired
And the roads no longer go that way

But sometime in the night when I was looking west, I lost my path -

I am not where I am meant to be
And cannot find my way back home.

When I sailed by others' winds
The routes were followed through with ease
The sails were set and the course was marked by others' hands,
What made me think or be so sure that I could guide my own ship?
Instead of steering by the stars, I laid a course in search of them

And now I’m not where I should be.
    I've lost my way
