  • I am sorry I have not been able to read your stories but I will. It is my daughter's 17th birthday today and I have had a lot to do. All of you know what I mean.

This is a picture of this morning before we went and sang to her. She was awake and had been for some time but we have a tradition that nobody is allowed out of the bed before the singing. It was a tradition in my family and I have continued it. and usually you wake extremely early on your birthday morning so it makes it really hard to stay in bed.

So we sing and then drink coffee and chat and let the birthday 'person' open the gifts. Just a leisurely morning before the big baking an cooking begins. Guests are due this evening.

    Have a great day everyone!

(Photo: morning with Eva, a coffee cake, a card, candles, flowers and presents. Eva didn't want me to put up her picture at first but then said it was OK, if I really wanted to. I told her it would not be a real birthday picture without her in it.)
