  • If you read my previous entry, Western Union Scam, you will understand that I am very cut up about being defrauded of most of my savings (the equivalent of two month's income). I have been very depressed for over a week, but get a bit energised by my (fiendish) plans to corner Western Union and recoup my money.

I am operating on a limited number of cylinders, and few things bring a smile to my lips. However, after spending most of the morning discovering Angel Malpass and reading half of her total output, first, I felt that I got to know ONE Cowbirder fairly thoroughly, and this helped me tremendously. Her attachment to her dad, her dead ex-partner, her family, her grandchild, racial issues, North Carolina. Meaning no disrespect to other Cowbirdistas, no one (that I have been reading), writes with such earthy spontaneity. She is so insightful! Her poetry is incisive and to the point.

You've got more talent than you probably realise, Angel!
