  • When I heard the learn’d astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged
    in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams,
to add, divide, and measure them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where
he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.

    The Star Children: 2012

We are the Star Children, dancers of fractal light.
We are pure music, singing songs of galaxies,
We are wild surfers on Oceans of Forever.

From wind and clouds and nebulae and night we’ve come
For this, our Holy Quest, the journey into Love.
We watch the sky and burn with dreams of distant suns.

Celestial drums of ecstasy dance in our blood.
Look back: see our Angelic image find its form.
Through long, cold ages, we have grown into the Truth

Of who we are, Wayfinders for the coming Dawn.
Our Ancient Elders lived in caves, yet knew the stars.
To them, the midnight sky spoke Destiny. They heard

The hidden harmonies, and built their prayers in stone
To point the way for us, the future Voyagers.
From sacred grove, pyramid and shrine, to temples

And the great cathedral spires, we’ve had a yearning
Outward toward Infinity, a sacred Calling
On to wondrous worlds beyond our own. In music,

Color, form, we found our purpose in the Higher Good.
It is this Higher Good that draws us on, that will
Not let us rest, that calls us to our Great Return.

Each spire and tower, each soaring rocket ship brings in
New Gardens where we’ll one day play, forgiven, free.
Walk out into this night, and dance in harmony

With moon and stars and sky and spiral galaxies!
Dance wind and fire! Dance waters of the world! And dance
All praise and joy and power within the Mind of God.
