  • Sleepless night.
To close my eyes or to take a good hard look and follow it up with action - that's the question.

Can I ignore what I have seen? I might just get by, and I might have enough advantage of knowledge to be able to avoid the worst and get out of here fairly 'alive' and fairly intact - is that cowardly or sensible?

The values I've chosen to guide me in my life: in democratic fashion they overwhelmingly vote in favor of not remaining silent. To stand up to injustice and misconduct, to protect others from harm if I can, be a person of integrity, act honorably and courageous, ... Even if it could cost me what I've been working on for the past four years, and severely damage my future career - is that a necessity or naive delusional foolishness?

So much for having straight moral parents and devouring too many medieval knight's tales.
Thanks punks - I blame it all on you.

So today was filled with talking to confidants, ombudspersons, senior people, seniors of seniors, all the way to the very top head of my workplace.
I feel like I've stepped on the patch that broke loose an avalanche. No way to stop it, and it might swallow me whole.

And I have not told my boss yet, him being absent. That's not going to be fun at all.

I guess you make a choice and then you live with it.
Hopefully I will be able to sleep a little tonight. But I doubt it.
