  • They did it again…
They have got to stop meeting like this.
Alex Noble with her "Vampires" and San Cassimally with his "Writer’s Pregnancies".
I draw my inspiration from you guys. For you, I wrote this look into my
    own befuddled world of letters…

Non-fictional account of the “geRm of a story”.

    There’s the little Oeuvre that
    starts out like a thoroughbred,
    peters off after the gate,
and stops short of the finish line.

    Days of fumbling, and fondling
won’t bring this Oeuvre to life.
THIS is no longer a labor of love.
I’m looking for a C-section or an Exorcism!

    Trash can looks inviting.
Set it aside on the table, it’ll protect the table surface.
Go on to the next story. Several coffee stains later,
it resurfaces, looking like the long lost child it is.

I entertain it, I cajole it, I skew it, then Voilá!
Trash can, different angle, and Voilá!
    Not quite.
Several more rounds of this and I kick it to the curb.

Next morning, sit down with a fresh sheet,
rewrite the whole thing and finally,
    Oeuvre takes her first breath.
