  • I don't like my job. It involves a great deal of paper pushing. There's a certain degree of acquiescing to someone else's demands that is frustrating. It is mundane, repetitive, and, at times, mind-numbingly dull.

    But the people I work with are supportive and funny. And, because I work for a university, my benefits are spectacular. My monthly paycheck is more than adequate for my needs; I can gratefully acknowledge that I do not want for much.

    My work isn't fulfilling, but I am grateful for it. Because of my job, I can afford a roof over my head, food to eat, and resources with which I can explore new passions.

    Plus, the view can't be beat.
