  • A red-eye from SFO to Logan.

It's 8am ET. I'm walking with two heavy bags to Terminal E. As I approach the Icelandair ticket counter, a thought crossed my mind.

    "Did I pack my passport?"

After all the curse words in the world, 20 phone calls, 10 emails, 6 failed Skype calls to Ranger, and 9 hours at Logan International later, one can look at not having their passport for travel out of the country as a major bump in the road... it was. On the brighter side, I had the opportunity to hang out with one of my best friends, Ben and his wife Julia, see some friends in Boston, and get more things wrapped up before my month-long Icelandic adventure.

48 hours later and one overnight UPS package, I'm back in business. Reykjavik, here I come!
