  • The Olympic torch passed through our town today. The crowds came out to see it emerge from Enniskillen Castle held by an honoured boy who ran down the high street; flanked by four more runners.

    It was raining of course. The torch had arrived in town early! No one arrives early in County Fermanagh; so I had to stand dripping for an hour longer to take my photo.

    The crowd cheered and the news camera-woman filmed us from the side of a van. Did you see me on TV?
