We surrounded the Wells Fargo building and they were unable to open. We won.
Protesting along side an elected official is extremely gratifying; it's reassurance that your values are actually being represented in government (I'm not actually in his district, but I'm so glad he's on the board fighting for what I believe in). At this time he was running for mayor, so this kind of solidarity with the radicals was especially meaningful. Having him there made it seem like everything was going to be alright, because he's on our side.
