  • Excitement and Anticipation

When I was young my mother use to take us to the park every summer.
She will tell us to get ready few days before the trip and the night before I couldn't sleep

I will sit by the window waiting for the sun to rise

Now I reflect back on that moment, I realize that I was not excited to see lions walking around our cars, giraffes hanging by the side of the road, elephants blocking traffic like they own the place and hippos showing their giants teeth.

I know that I was anticipating being on the road, the sense of movement, the wind in my face

I remember endless green hills, trees flying by, shepherds sitting on rocks in the bright Rwandan sun.

Isn't that what life is all about? movement: breathing, blood, fluids in our body,muscles,...

I am on the road again...
