  • I have been feeling very out of sorts today. Down. A mind of worry and doubt because of some dashed hopes recently and not knowing what to do (or not do) about them. Down.

Time to let go. Time to step out of illusion. Time to listen. Time to re-member my-Self.

So...based on wisdom that has supported me in the past when I've been in a time of doubt and low vibration...I consciously decided to 'listen to Mother Earth' while I was on my walk today. What wisdom does She want to offer?

Besides all of the eye-popping beauty of the forest backdrop, the first 'sign' I encountered on my listening quest was this dragonfly.

I have found several different interpretations of Dragonfly in Native American Medicine. And within all of the many messages, here's what called to me today...

The power of Dragonfly lies in its ability to see around things by looking from different angles. Using its ability to transform colors and lights by reflecting and refracting them, Dragonfly shows us that life, like light, can bend, shift, and adapt in various ways, making life's appearance never be what it appears to be. Dragonfly's magic shows us to see through life's illusions and find our true vision. It calls us to transform within our lives and reminds us to feel deeply so we will have the compassion necessary to help ourselves and others. -

Are you caught in an illusion that weakens your true feelings or minimizes your abilities....for some pipe dream that had no real purpose? ....Misery is a prime clue that you lost your will and personal validity when you bought into someone else's idea of who or what you should be. The illusion was that you would be happier if you did it their way. In forfeiting what you know is right and true for you personally, you give away your power. It is time for you to take it back.. - Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams & David Carson

Okay. Food for contemplation and reflection...

Thank You for your Gracious Gift of Dragonfly today, Dear Mother Earth!
