  • Wisconsin is usually known for it's cheese and it's Packers. This year it is being ridiculed by everyone for it's outlandish politics. Both sides are backed by large amounts of money from outside billionaires and corporations. The negative advertising has me turning off the TV and reading a good book. I don't think the state has been so divided since the Civil War. People who ordinarily would ignore the race have become vehement in their support of one candidate or the other. There is no compromise...take no prisoners...hate your neighbor. It's like we have a statewide case of rabies.

    It's embarrassing. I tell people I may live here, but I'm not from here.

    It is a kind of carry over from the national political scene. I think Mark Twain said it best, " In America we have no criminal class. Excepting Congress."
