  • On my second to last day of my college career as a creative writing major, my professor sends me off into the world with some unforgetable words.
    "You write awkwardly".
In my five years of schooling I have never had a professor say something like this to me before, and here I am, at the end, and this is what I am going out into the world thinking.

I should have told him the way he backtracks over his words is awkward.
    But I didn't.
I walked out with my B+ paper, tears in my eyes, but reminding myself it was one opinion.

Richard Rodriguez said in a lecture; "It takes luck to be published. Talent is everywhere".

My birthday is Friday the 13th.
