  • I recently made a new friend in a distant country.
We only had 3 days to get to know each other. But he was a life long friend before we said goodbye.

His culture is very different. Vivid in it's struggles and yet, composed and reserved in interactions.

Like a sign saying 'please don't step on the grass', when people are shitting on the side walk.

He told me, 'people think they are achieving and succeeding by constantly doing. But if what you do, does not give value or meaning to others. You may as well be in a rocking chair, forever moving and never getting anywhere'.

It was the most delicious piece of advice I had heard in a long time.
